Kia ora! It would be a pleasure to teach you how to sew.

(Or give yourself a refresher since "form 1 manual class" as thats so often the case).

Next intake: Tuesday 20th & 27th September.

6:30-8:30pm

Raglan Community House Basement.

Maybe you've never had the opportunity to sit down at a machine, or you have fearful flashbacks from Tech at school, I am here to welcome you aboard and get you acquainted with the fun and the usefulness of sewing skills.

This is a 2 part class

Part 1: Learn the ropes (literally how to thread up), understand all the decorative and dangerous features. Once we've had a whirl and feeling all warmed up you get to choose some fabrics from my stash and together we will whip up a snackage package, a zero waste cutlery kit. All this is possible and wonderful in 2hours.

Part 2: Is when we learn the important art of repair. BYO rips and holey items, and together we will share what we have learn from eachothers repairs and feel empowered to reconnect with lost items from our wardrobe (way better than throwing clothes away)

WHAT TO BRING: Bring a sewing machine if you have one. Please get in touch if you don't we have some to loan out. Bring a cup for a hot tea, and a notebook if you find note-taking helpful for your learning experience.
