In this 1hr workshop you will learn the following skills to help you take your next steps in your sewing journey:
- Where to purchase patterns from, + all the possibilities of how they arrive to us. + what other tools might be needed to best use the pattern.
- Understanding our sizing vs finished garment sizing & grading between sizes.
- Fabric, laying up and cutting out.
- Jargon explained "grainline" "notches" "darts" "pocket placements" "cutting instructions" "seam allowance" etc.
I have prepared this workshop for any beginner or intermediate sewists who are keen be moving from freestyle stitching, repairs and refashioning to sewing from a pattern. I will not be covering pattern hacking or technical pattern adjustments at this stage.
This session will be informative and inspiring and hopefully you will sign off with loads of confidence to purchase that pattern, and cut into it with ease.
